Minneapolis Hockey
One of the things I love most about living in Minnesota is being on and near ice again! I grew up playing hockey and was able to play through high school and college as well. I have to say that this sport invigorates me like few things do. I love the game, I love the sounds, I love the smells (well, most of them...).
In 2015, I made the official transition from player to coach and couldn't have been be happier. I was incredibly fortunate to find a home for two years with Minneapolis Hockey as an assistant coach for their girls varsity team. I loved the girls, I loved the challenge, and I'm thankful that head coach Sarma Özmen was willing to take me on as one of her assistants.
Playing pond (lake) hockey with my pup; 2016.
When All Square took flight, I had to forgo my time as a coach. Today, I find myself craving the ice unlike ever before. I was so lucky to be surrounded by an amazing squad and exceptional coaching staff and hockey will forever be in my DNA.
